Review: ELF Tinted Moisturizer

 

This is going to be a review of the ELF Tinted Moisturizer, and I will also be comparing it to the Cover Girl Tinted Moisturizer. So lets get started!!

So I've been looking at the ELF Tinted Moisturizer for awhile now, and I have no idea why I never picked it up. So on day while at Target I figured I look at it all the time I might as well just buy it! So the next day I couldn't wait to use this stuff. The first thing I noticed is it was a bit darker than the CG one I was use too. I started to apply it and fell in love. This stuff is great! It almost seems to cover more like a foundation to me. Maybe that's just me..I don't know. This stuff is perfect seems to cover more like a foundation but is nice and light like the tinted moisturizer. I have nothing bad to say about this stuff. I highly recommend it.

The CG one doesn't cover as well as the ELF one but I still love it too. I honestly don't prefer one over the other and I will probably continue to buy both. One other thing ELF has over CG though..a higher SPF. CG's tinted moisturizer has an SPF of 15, and the ELF one SPF 20! Love it! Either way you're going to get a great tinted moisturizer. I like the ELF on days I want a little more coverage but still a nice light feeling, and I love the CG one on days I just want something quick basically...my lazy days.

So like I said either way you're getting a great product. I highly recommend both!! If you have tried either or both of products let me know what you think. Do you prefer one over the other?

NYX 12 Year Sale

So I'm sure you all heard about the special 12 year anniversary sale NYX was planning on having this past sunday. Well..things didn't go as planned. The site was down pretty much all day. I was able to get on to the front page and then when I would click on what I wanted it would crash. This is what a lot of people were experiencing, and of course it upset a lot of people. Now I want to start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE NYX products. The lip glosses are amazing - pretty much all I use.

Now with that said...I am very disappointed with this company right now. They had so many people excited for an amazing deal and great products, and then no one can get to it. You would think they would have expected a lot of people trying to get on at once and try to be prepared for it. They were not. In my opinion I think the sale never even happened. A lot of people, on Sunday. were calling it a "scam". Maybe it was. After all I haven't seen one comment where someone said they actually got through.

Then Sunday night. They post on Facebook that they will be giving a coupon code Monday morning for 50% off and free shipping. Even though that was not the promised sale I was willing to take it. So they told us to watch for the code Monday morning..which I did. Monday afternoon I get back on my computer and see that they have posted in order to get the coupon code you must email them with all your information and feedback...are you kidding me?!

This is where I really started to get angry. So first they promise a sale that seems to have never happened and then promised a coupon code...but at the last minute let us know we have to email them to get it. What is this company doing?! I have never in my life seen a company be so unprofessional. I am so disgusted with the way they have acted and treated their customers. There was a lot of talk on Facebook that they were deleting negative comments written to them. Can't say I blame them for not wanting negativity out there about the company, but if you don't want it then don't cause it by lying to us. Also it was very strange to me how all of Sunday the site didn't work, and maybe that was because of so many people trying to get on at the same time...doubt it. Magically on Monday afternoon after the sale was over NYX all of a sudden has a brand new look to their site!! Hmm..fishy! So was the site down due to traffic? Or was it down because they were working on updating the look? Was the sale a scam? Sadly we will never know. But it is very weird to me how it all happened.

So now here we are...as far as I know no one got makeup for $1.20 and no one has received their coupon. I could say that I will no longer support this company by buying products, but I would be lying. I don't plan on never touching another NYX product. They are too amazing to pass up..LIP GLOSS! But seriously I am disappointed right now and I wish things would have gone differently. Now if the sale really did happen and you were actually able to make a purchase..congratulations. For the rest of us we have to deal with the disappointed and move on. 

Review: Bath & Body Works - The Coconuts

I was super excited for this collection to come out. The one I was most excited for..Coconut Mango. So what do I think of this collection? Was the Mango one worth the excitement? Keep reading!

Coconut Passionfruit: This was probably the one I was least excited for. Part of me didn't even want to try it because I completely hated Fiji Passionfruit. The coconut in this scent, though, makes it a really good one. I really do like this scent a lot, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Now I've said before that I am HORRIBLE at describing scents. All I can say is passionfruit and coconut are beautiful together! I plan on buying full size of this scent.

Coconut Mango: Ah the one I wanted to try most of all and expected to fall in love with...FAIL! There is just something about this scent that I can only describe as..yucky. You know the smell of walking into a salon where someone is getting a perm done? It reminds me of that and at times it's even reminded me of peanut butter..weird i know. I'm so disappointed in this one as I am obsessed with mango. B&BW failed on this one. I will NOT purchase full size of this scent.

Coconut Pineapple: Say hello to the shocker of the bunch. This scent is AMAZING! At first I wasn't sure. Pineapple? On my body? Hmmm. Again glad I gave it a chance! This is my favorite of the 3. This is the most perfect summer scent. Coconut and pineapple? Come on that screams SUMMER! I love this scent and can't get enough of it. Will 100% be buying full size everything of this scent. Love it!

I hope this helped. Even a little. I know I'm no good at telling about scents but I try. Best thing to do though is go smell them for yourself. Go try them out while they're only $1!

So...

I don't think I've ever sat down and just typed up a blog where I don't really talk about anything special. So this is going to be one of those blogs. Really unsure of what I want to talk about though. I've been wanting to do a makeup collection video or just pictures on my blog, but my collection right now is really small and sad. So I think it might better to wait until it grows a little, but then I think do one now and then again later on to see just how much it's grown. What do you think? Should I do it now and then again to see the growth? or just wait until it's bigger? Let me know! Also I need some video ideas. What do you guys want to see?

Now this may seem silly but I now have 15 subscribers on youtube, and this makes me very excited! haha is that sad? I don't know and I don't care! I'm so excited so if you're one of those 15 then THANK YOU! I really enjoy making videos, and now I've learned how to edit so that makes it ever more fun. I want to start doing some on the go vlogs, but every time I leave the house I forget my camera. Which is odd because my camera used to go everywhere with me. I never left home without it.

Anyway be looking out for videos like that soon. And yeah...I think that's all for now. Sorry if this was a boring blog. I just felt like sitting down and typing something.
